The design methodology uses the stripe as a metaphor related to the boundaries of what we perceive to be masculine or feminine; not the straight line we assume. This stripe cuts through clothing to trace spatial boundaries between cloth and body. The pattern cutting takes the stripe through and around the body with the technical challenge of juxtaposing the grain line; all cloth in this collection is printed with the foundation colour and the stripe.
