An extrinsic approach was taken to explore pattern geometry of Activewear and Orthopaedic pieces identifying its significance on the musculoskeletal anatomy. Technical elements were experimented through manual methods, matching patterns to specialist machinery and a small-scale fit model was developed for anthropometric measurements. Customized Avatars with muscle outlines are digitally developed making it easier to design 3D patterns and incorporate fabrics with different stretch percentages.
