I’m a Creative Pattern Cutter, Designer and Garment Maker, interested in using digital technology to push the boundaries of design. This practice-based research project utilised Machine Learning and resulted in two garments both designed by a computer. Basing the physical garments on machine-made designs, I questioned how the role of Pattern Cutter as interpreter and collaborator changes when working with an ‘AI designer’ rather than human.
